That time when....

About 10 years ago, a friend of mine invited me to go see her perform her burlesque act at The Brown Derby in Hollywood. I was immediately hooked. Watching the performers do their acts whether, edgy, sexy, funny, sassy or what else have you, was inspiring to me. 

Around 2007, a dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School event starting occurring in Hollywood at the M Bar off of Vine. It was a twice a month event and my love of burlesque dancers was met with the chances of drawing them from life, as opposed to blurry photographs. Here are some of the drawings I did at the Dr. Sketchy's events back in 2007-2008: (note: those are all pasties on their nipples.)
